Who is Anmol Bishnoi, the Gangster linked to Baba Siddique, Sidhu Moosewala, and Salman Khan cases

Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed Lawrence Bishnoi, is being deported from the US to India. Wanted in high-profile cases, including the murders of Baba Siddique and Sidhu Moosewala, here’s all you need to know about him.

Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, is on his way back to India after being detained in the United States last year. According to sources, the deportation process has been completed, and Anmol has already boarded a flight to Delhi, which is expected to land around 10 am on Wednesday.

His return is being considered a major breakthrough for Indian security agencies, who have been trying to dismantle the Bishnoi gang’s expanding operations, especially its international network believed to be run from North America.

Who Is Anmol Bishnoi?

Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in India for multiple high-profile crimes, including the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in October 2024 and the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He is also an accused in the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai home in April 2024.

There are 18 criminal cases registered against him across the country. He was placed on the NIA’s most-wanted list last year, and a reward of Rs 10 lakh was announced for information leading to his arrest.

US officials detained him in November 2024, reportedly for illegal entry into the United States and not for crimes committed in India. Despite being abroad, he is believed to have remained active in the Bishnoi gang’s operations. His brother Lawrence, though in jail, is accused of running a global criminal syndicate.

Key Planner In High-Profile Murders

According to investigators, Anmol Bishnoi played a key role in planning the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Siddique was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra on October 12, 2024.

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch chargesheet, which names 26 arrested accused, states that Anmol planned the killing to “instill fear and dominance over the crime syndicate.” Police say they recovered voice clips from the accused that allegedly contained Anmol’s instructions for carrying out the attack.

Firing Outside Salman Khan’s Residence

Anmol is also wanted for the firing outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence in April 2024. As per MCOCA chargesheets, he coordinated the plan from abroad using secure messaging applications.

Soon after two bike-borne shooters fired outside the actor’s house, Anmol allegedly claimed responsibility online, calling it the “first and last warning” to the Bollywood star.

NIA Likely to Take Over Probe

With more than 18 cases pending against him, including connections to the Moosewala murder, the case is likely to be handed over to the National Investigation Agency.

Officials believe that Anmol’s interrogation will be crucial in uncovering the gang’s financial networks, logistics, international links, and operations across India and abroad.
