A few days after the NDA’s big victory in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, the state is preparing for a new government to take charge on Thursday, November 20. The current government will officially end on November 19. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, many believe that Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s longest-serving chief minister, is likely to continue in the top role. Nearly 20 ministers are expected to be sworn in along with the chief minister, with about 6–7 ministers each from the BJP and JD(U). Preparations for the ceremony at Gandhi Maidan are underway, and Nitish Kumar visited the venue on Tuesday to personally check the arrangements, including the stage and seating setup.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, several union ministers, and chief ministers from other states are expected to attend, making it a major political event that highlights the NDA’s strong performance.
