Bengaluru– A horrifying incident at a hostel in a posh Bengaluru neighborhood has sent shockwaves across India. A 24-year-old woman, Kriti Kumari, was brutally murdered by Abhishek, the boyfriend of her roommate, who has since been arrested by police.
Tensions had been escalating between Abhishek and Kriti’s roommate over his unemployment, with frequent arguments that sometimes involved Kriti. She reportedly suggested that her roommate distance herself from him, further straining their relationship.
The situation worsened when Abhishek, enraged by their avoidance, created a disturbance at the hostel. Kriti had helped her friend move to a new location and both had stopped communicating with him. This fueled Abhishek’s anger and led him to commit the heinous act.

Disturbing CCTV footage of the attack has gone viral on social media. The video shows Abhishek entering the hostel corridor with a plastic bag, knocking on Kriti’s door, and forcefully entering her room. He is seen dragging Kriti out and attacking her with a knife. Despite her attempts to escape, Abhishek repeatedly stabs her.

The footage captures Abhishek continuing his assault even after Kriti collapses, holding her by the hair and stabbing her again. He then attempts to slit her throat before fleeing the scene.

Kriti is seen lying in a pool of blood as other hostel residents rush out. One of them promptly calls the police, who arrived at the scene shortly after.
