New Delhi: Slamming Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over ‘Sanatana Dharma’ should be eradicated’, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sudhanshu Trivedi on Sunday questioned that why these remarks came following 24 hours after INDIA alliance meeting and what is the role of the grand alliance in it.

Addressing the media, BJP MP said, “The statement in question is not made in isolation; rather, it is part of a broader sequence of events. Just 24 hours after the INDIA alliance meeting in Mumbai, Udhayanidhi made this statement.”
During a conference on Saturday, Udhayanidhi, who serves as the minister for Sports and Youth Affairs in the Tamil Nadu government, likened ‘Sanatana’ (Sanatan Dharma) to “mosquitoes, Dengue, Malaria, fever, and Corona,” and suggested that it should be eradicated like these diseases.
“It appears to have been carefully considered, well-written, and thoughtfully designed, with a clear conclusion in mind. It raises questions about who may have drafted and provided this statement to Udhayanidhi. Additionally, it prompts us to consider the role of the INDIA alliance in this matter,” Trivedi stated.

“Their agenda seems clear: to destroy Hindu Dharma, to completely annihilate Sanatan Dharma,” BJP MP asserted.
Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi criticized the Sanatan Dharma, stating, “Certain things should not be resisted; they must be completely eliminated. We cannot resist diseases like Dengue, mosquitoes, Malaria, or Corona; we must eradicate them. Similarly, we should eliminate Sanatana (Sanatan Dharma) rather than merely opposing it.”
