New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday conducted raids at a total number of 56 locations across 19 states and Union territory in child pornography case.
As per media reports, the officials informed that a major crackdown called Operation Meghchakra was launched by the CBI to identify the perpetrators who are involved in sharing child pornography videos and images online.
The peddlers were sharing disturbed content online who have also blackmailed minors.
The officials informed that the Opearation Meghchakra was launched on the basis of inputs shared by Singapore Interpol.

Operation Meghchakra is a follow-up of “Operation Carbon” that was carried out last year. Operation Carbon had targeted the features of cloud storages that was used to share child pornography.
In the latest, the Supreme Court last week sought a report from the Centre. The apex court had asked for report in which the Centre’s efforts for monitoring child pornography cases should be mentioned in detail.
