Monsoon has arrived in Delhi, causing the city to flood after the first rain. Roads in areas like Minto Road, AIIMS, Dhaula Kuan, Vinod, Sarita Vihar, and Mandavali resembled ponds. The Meteorological Department has issued another rain alert for today. According to the IMD, there is a chance of rain in several states, including Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Additionally, the northwest monsoon winds are advancing, likely bringing heavy rain to western Rajasthan and northeastern Maharashtra.

Delhi experienced over three hours of rain on Friday, breaking an 88-year-old record. The rain caused the collapse of part of Terminal 1’s roof at Delhi airport, resulting in one death and multiple flight cancellations. According to the Meteorological Department, this is the first time since 1936 that Delhi has seen such heavy rain, making it the second highest rainfall in 124 years. An orange alert has been issued for the next two days, predicting dense clouds and possible thunderstorms along with rain on Saturday.
According to the IMD, today’s temperatures are expected to be: Delhi with a minimum of 25°C and a maximum of 32°C, Noida with a minimum of 24°C and a maximum of 33°C, Patna with a minimum of 28°C and a maximum of 36°C. In Jaipur, the weather will be pleasant with a minimum of 27°C and a maximum of 36°C. Bhopal will see temperatures ranging from 23°C to 34°C, Mumbai from 25°C to 35°C, Ahmedabad from 26°C to 36°C, Ghaziabad from 24°C to 32°C, and Jammu from 27°C to 38°C.

Monsoon is advancing in Rajasthan, with good rain recorded in many areas over the past 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for several districts from June 29 to July 2. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in parts of Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions during this period. Additionally, monsoon activity has now covered all of Jharkhand, arriving 11 days late. Many districts in the state experienced light to moderate rain in the past 24 hours, and the entire state is expected to see monsoon rain in the next two days.
