Weather Updates: The North india, including g Delhi-NCR has got respite from the severe cold wave conditions. There has been an increase in the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR regions for the last two days. The minimum temperature was recorded at 5.6 degree Celsius on Thursday. (Weather Updates)
Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius. Delhi Ridge and Ayanagar recorded minimum temperatures of 5.6 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
There was no fog in any part of the North-Western part of the country this morning and visibility was also normal. According to the Meteorological Department, due to two western disturbances, the cold wave conditions will reduce from Thursday to Friday.

Weather Updates: Rain expected in Delhi today
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Delhi and surrounding areas today. The seven-day forecast of the Regional Meteorological Centre, Delhi, has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Thursday with light rain and drizzle expected at night.
According to the IMD forecast, the minimum temperature is likely to go up to five degrees Celsius on Thursday with chances of very light rain or drizzle at night. On Friday, it may further increase up to 8 degree Celsius.
“Scattered to light/moderate rain/thundershowers very likely over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh on January 23 to 25 and Delhi on January 23 and 24,” the IMD said.
Weather Updates: Western Disturbance ends
According to Indian Metrological department (IMD), the effect of western disturbance will end on Friday, due to which the temperature is rising now. However, the temperature will start falling again from Saturday. This phase of severe cold wave is expected to end on January 19. The Meteorological Department has already declared the cold of January this year as the third highest in 23 years.
