Temperature to go above 35 degree in March

Weather Update: Summer has arrived earlier in February. The cold has bid farewell to the plains of North India. The temperature is desperate to touch 40 degrees in many parts of north India. However, the weather pattern is still cold in the high altitude hilly areas of North India. It is still raining with scattered snowfall at many places.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a slight softening of temperature in the next two-three days. But the temperature will remain above normal. The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR has crossed 30 degrees Celsius, while Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra have been the hottest. In many places here, the temperature has reached close to 40 degree Celsius. The mercury is also above normal in the states of North India like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Due to which people have started feeling the heat like May in February itself. Last week, most parts of northern and western parts of the country recorded maximum temperatures of 5-11 degrees Celsius above normal.

Many parts are already recording high temperatures which are usually recorded in the second-third week of March. The heat wave in the country in the month of February is usually seen in the month of March before this. This has increased the concerns of meteorologists as well as common people about the heatwave and heat wave this year.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, the wind pattern at the surface today remains southwesterly, bringing warm, dry winds. There is also an anticyclone over the Arabian Sea and the lack of rain is not expected to bring down the temperature further.

According to Skymet Weather, a trough is running from Northeast Bihar to Arunachal Pradesh. A fresh Western Disturbance will approach the Western Himalayas on 25 February.

Light to moderate rain is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Assam. Along with this, light rain is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
