Weather Update: Almost half of April ended and weather is also changing rapidly. Strong sunlight and heat is going to scorch many parts of India. The situation could get even worse in coming days.  In past, there were continuous rains in many areas of Western Disturbance, due to which the weather was pleasant. But now the effect of Western Disturbance is getting over. Therefore, after the pleasant weather, now scorching summer season is started.

In most parts of the country, the heat has also started showing its colors. In many areas including Delhi-NCR, continuous increase in temperature is being seen. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be an increase of 4 to 5 degrees in the maximum temperature during the coming four to five days. By the end of this week, people will start feeling the heat like May-June in many areas.

Along with this, a series of rains can be seen in many parts of western India even today. According to the Meteorological Department, during the next five days, rain may be seen in Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted a normal monsoon this year. According to IMD, this country will receive normal rains during the monsoon. There is a 67 per cent chance of normal or above rainfall this year. According to M. Ravichandran, Secretary in the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences, the country will see normal rains during the southwest monsoon. The rains are expected to be around 96 per cent of the long period average, he said. Earlier on Monday, private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather predicted below normal rainfall during the monsoon season between June and September. For which the weak El Nino phenomenon is attributed.
