Weather Update: It is raining heavily in many states of the country due to the monsoon. Heavy rain has been predicted in Jharkhand and West Bengal for the next 3 days. There is also a rain alert in Odisha till August 13.
Apart from this, heavy rain has also been forecast at some places in states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra.
Delhi and adjoining areas will remain partly cloudy on Thursday as well. The wind will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kmph. Very light rain or drizzle is expected. The maximum and minimum temperature may be 35 and 28 degree Celsius respectively.
On Thursday also, the weather condition is expected to remain good in many areas of Punjab. It will be cloudy in most areas and light rain is also expected at some places.
There is a warning of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, except Lahaul Spiti district, there will be heavy rain with thunderstorms in the rest 11 districts. People have been advised to stay away from rivers and streams.
Red alert over heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of good rains in Madhya Pradesh for 2-3 days. On the other hand, many districts of East Madhya Pradesh may receive more rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for the districts of Bhopal and Jabalpur divisions.
There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa, Chambal and Gwalior divisions. Incessant rains are continuing in the capital Bhopal as well. According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue like this for a whole week.
