Weather Update: Torrential rain is continuing across many states, with areas from Delhi to Gujarat submerged in water. The IMD has forecast heavy rain from Thursday for the next few days. An orange alert has been issued for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where heavy rain is expected. Floods have already caused significant damage in these two states.

IMD Issues Alert For Several States  

The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in several regions, including Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, South Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for all these states on Friday. In Delhi, the IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain and also issued a yellow alert. A yellow alert warns of possible bad weather and worsening conditions that could impact daily life.

The Meteorological Department uses four colors for weather alerts: Green (no action needed), Yellow (stay alert and monitor), Orange (be prepared), and Red (take action or seek help).

Rajasthan Recorded Bad Weather In The Previous Days 

In other states, the monsoon’s renewed strength is causing heavy rains in many parts of Jodhpur, Sirohi, and Udaipur districts in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department reports that Jodhpur received the most rainfall, with 90.6 mm recorded on Wednesday.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, from Wednesday morning until 5:30 p.m., Jodhpur received 90.6 mm of rain, Sirohi 70 mm, Mount Abu 25 mm, Karauli 22.5 mm, Vanasthali 21 mm, Barmer 19.2 mm, and Anta 10 mm.

The center also mentioned that the monsoon is likely to stay active in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days, with heavy rain continuing in some areas. In the past 24 hours, many places in Udaipur, Bhilwara, and Barmer districts have experienced very heavy rainfall.
