Weather Update: Today is the second day of April but still the unseasonal rains are continuing in many parts of the country. Due to this, the miseries of the farmers have increased. The most troubled by this rain is the farmer. Their standing and harvested crops are getting spoiled. Meanwhile, it is still raining in many states. In many areas of the country today there is a forecast of hailstorms along with strong thunderstorms and rain.

Recently, a Western Disturbance has been active in the Himalayan regions, due to which rain and snow occurred in the middle and higher mountain regions. Its effect is still being seen in places, due to which the weather patterns can deteriorate in many places today.

According to IMD, due to Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of rain-thunder and hailstorms with lightning in some states of North-West and Northeast India till April 5. According to the Meteorological Department, even today there may be rain with thunder and lightning in many places. Also, there are chances of hailstorms. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the farmer brothers to keep the harvested crops in a safe place first and not to work in the fields during lightning.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain and thunderstorms may continue for the next few days. There is a possibility of a storm with rain in many areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, and Karnataka till April 5. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in many states of North India this week.

According to MID, rain may occur in many areas of Sikkim, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. Along with this, today there are chances of scattered rains in the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Along with this, there is a forecast of light rain and drizzle at many places including Delhi-NCR today.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, light to moderate snowfall is possible in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Scattered snowfall may occur over Ladakh. Light rain is possible in Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

Light to moderate rains may occur over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, North Punjab and North Haryana. Rain is likely over West Bengal, parts of Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, and parts of Kerala. The temperature is likely to rise gradually over the northwest and central parts of the country.
