Weather Update: Heavy rains lashed many parts of Delhi and adjoining areas of the National Capital Region (NCR) on Thursday, bringing respite from the scorching heat. After heavy rains in Delhi NCR, low-lying areas were waterlogged at some places, causing inconvenience to the people. Traffic jams were also reported due to rain at many places.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, it rained in various parts of the capital, including K Kamaraj Marg. Heavy rains also lashed Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, leading to waterlogging and traffic jams in some parts of the city.

IMD forecast
The seven-day forecast of the Regional Meteorological Center has predicted a generally cloudy sky and very light rain/drizzle in the national capital on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 36°C and 25°C respectively.
Weather Update: Rainfall in Delhi
Delhi has recorded above normal rainfall in the last four months. March recorded 53.2 mm against the normal of 17.4 mm, April 20.1 mm against the normal of 16.3 mm, May 111 mm against the normal of 30.7 mm and June 101.7 mm against the normal of 74.1 mm.
It will be cloudy for the next one week, there is a possibility of rain in coming days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the next six to seven days are likely to be cloudy with occasional rain and the maximum temperature is likely to be between 32°C and 35°C.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for the rains, warning that the rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas and disrupt traffic flow on major roads.
