Weather Today: The weather conditions across the country are fluctuating these days. The reason behind the fluctuating weather is a cyclonic circulation system. It is currently centered over North-East Bihar, with its influence extending as high as 7.6 kilometers above sea level. Additionally, an associated cyclonic circulation is also observed in this region.

According to Indian metrological weather department (IMD), the monsoon is traversing through Amritsar, Ambala, Sultanpur, Patna, Malda, and then extending further eastward to Manipur.

Weather Highlights

Over the past 24 hours, significant weather events were observed across various parts of the country:

Heavy Rainfall: Moderate to heavy rainfall characterised the weather over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, east Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and portions of East Uttarakhand.

Light to moderate rains accompanied by isolated heavy spells affected specific areas in Odisha and coastal Tamil Nadu. Scattered light to moderate rainfall covered regions including Gangetic West Bengal, northeast India, Konkan and Goa, sections of Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and South Gujarat.

Light rain made an appearance over Jharkhand, parts of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gujarat, and in isolated spots across Southwest Madhya Pradesh.

Over the next 24 hours, meteorological conditions are anticipated to unfold as follows:

Heavy Showers Ahead:

According to skymet, the regions of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, parts of Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh could experience light to moderate rain, potentially accompanied by a few instances of heavy precipitation.

Uttarakhand may witness light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells, while Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, parts of Odisha, Telangana, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall.

Light Rainfall: Light rain is expected over south Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Jammu Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
