But since the first day of the new year 2023 in North India, the weather has remained very cold and for the next few days there is little chance of relief from it. The weather has deteriorated in more than a dozen states of the country including Delhi-NCR. Somewhere it is snowing, somewhere it is raining and somewhere there is severe cold wave.

Meanwhile, according to the Meteorological Department, even today (Weather Today), rain and snowfall may continue in many parts of the country. Even today, snowfall along with rain is expected to continue in the higher reaches of Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Along with this, hail may also fall at many places.

Meanwhile, there is news of relief for the people of Delhi-NCR. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today (Weather Today) the weather will be clear and sunny in Delhi NCR. However, there are less chances of relief to the people from the cold. However, there are chances of rain in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and many plains of North India even today. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, due to fresh rains, there will be an increase in cold once again in Delhi-NCR. Thereafter, a gradual increase in the minimum temperature is expected over the northwestern, central and eastern parts of the country. However, the cold wave may continue till February 5.

According to the Meteorological Department, along with North India, there are full chances of rain in many areas of South India today (Weather Today). Today, heavy to very heavy rain with thundershowers may occur over many areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.

According to the private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain and snowfall will continue in the Western Himalayas today as well. After that it will decrease. On the other hand, rain may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
