The latest IMD bulletin highlights that heavy rain is expected at isolated locations in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts of Telangana on September 4, 2024. Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds are predicted in Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, and Mahabubabad.

In Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy over the next 24 hours. The city may experience light to moderate rain or thunder showers with gusty winds. Temperatures are forecasted to range between a maximum of 27°C and a minimum of 23°C.

The IMD also forecasts heavy rains in Kerala and Mahe from September 2 to 4, and in Coastal Karnataka on September 2 and 3. For North East India, the IMD predicts heavy rains from September 2 to 5 in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura; from September 2 to 5 in Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; and in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on September 4 and 5. Bihar is expected to experience heavy rains on September 4, and Odisha on September 5 and 6.
Orange And Red Alerts For Severe Weather
The IMD has issued an orange alert for very heavy rains in East Rajasthan on September 7 and 8. Isolated heavy rains are also predicted over Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh. Additionally, heavy rains are expected in West Uttar Pradesh on September 4 and in East Uttar Pradesh on September 6. West Rajasthan is forecasted to receive heavy rains from September 4 to 8.

The capital remains under a ‘yellow’ alert, indicating potential worsening of weather conditions that could disrupt daily life. After morning rains on Monday, the city recorded a high of 33.6°C, with Tuesday’s temperature climbing further. Humidity levels have varied between 60% and 83% throughout the day.

The weather is cloudy with a temperature of 27ºC.
