The IMD has predicted monsoon rain in 18 states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy monsoon rains have caused havoc in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in many areas even today. The IMD has predicted rain in 18 other states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu.

On the other hand, heavy rain is forecast in isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand today.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and lightning in isolated parts of Assam and Meghalaya in West Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal.

On August 26 and 27, there may be rain in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain in East Madhya Pradesh on August 27 and 28. Along with this, there is a possibility of a cloudy sky and light to moderate rainfall in Bihar and Punjab till August 27.
