Weather Alert: Monsoon has gained momentum all over India and these days it is raining continuously in many areas of the country. Due to this rain, flood-like situation has arisen in many states and farmers have got relief in many states. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in August and September like July.
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many areas including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman today.
In this episode, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR even today. According to the MID, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi for the next two to three days as the monsoon trough is moving down from the foothills of the Himalayas.
Mii has issued an alert for three days of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh from August 5 to 7. Mahesh Palawat, Vice-Chairman, Meteorology and Climate Change Division at Skymet Weather, said that the ‘Monsoon Trough’ (low pressure area) is moving from the foothills of Himalayas towards Central India. Due to which there is a possibility of rain in Delhi for the next two-three days.

Light rain is possible at one or two places over West Rajasthan over Delhi, Gujarat, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
