New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee ‘promised’ to remove Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Centre in 2024 Lok Sabha Election. The TMC chief also said that “defeating the saffron party would be her last fight”.
While addressing a pubic rally in Kolkata, Banerjee said, “The BJP has to be defeated in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The fight for Delhi to oust the saffron party from power at the Centre will be my last. I promise to oust the BJP from power”.

Soon after Mamata Banerjee made the statement, everyone started speculating if the West Bengal Chief Minister will break up with the Indian politics.

However, she did not bothered to make any clarifications on her remarks inviting lots of doubts.
But the WB CM insisted multiple times that “the BJP has to be defeated at any cost.”
She referred to the state Assembly election 2021 and said “saving West Bengal was our first fight.”

“I promise we will remove the BJP from power at the Centre in 2024. If you try to intimidate us, we will respond,” she added.
Banerjee further said that “everyone has to taste the defeat” as she pointed out at the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s defeat in 1989 despite winning over 400 seats.
