Manipur: The 21-member grand opposition alliance – I.N.D.I.A delegation on Saturday launched a fresh attack on Centre saying that the people of Manipur is scared as they are aware that this government is not going to provide any help to them.
The statement came following the 21- member opposition delegation visisted the violence hit Manipur and met the families of the victims at a relief camp in Churachandpur.
However, the leaders of the opposition also slammed the Centre for not sending its delegation to visit Manipur. They also claimed that their visit will provide “psychological healing” to family of victims.

“After meeting several families in the relief camp and listening to their problems, we have assured them the situation of the state will improve soon. We are all working in the same direction to restore peace in the violence hit Manipur,” said Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha, while speaking to the media.
“This visit is a very first and minute step in the direction of providing faith and psychological healing to the victims,” Jha added.

While reacting to the BJP’s allegation that the opposition delegation doesn’t visit to other states including Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh, RJD MP said that they pray to god that this kind of incident does not take place in any state.
“If it does then we will definitely visit to that place as well. But, today at this statement, I would only say ‘Get well soon’. You are sick people…I leave it to PM Modi’s conscience to speak up and appeal for peace,” he added.

On the other hand, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury informed that the people of the Manipur are very scared, after meeting the victim’s in the relief camp.
Chowdhury alleged that people of the violence hit state have lost the confidence in the current government saying that the they don’t want to talk to anyone as they know that this government is not going to provide any help to them.
The 21 member opposition delegation comprised of Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, including prominent figures such as K Suresh, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, Rajiv Ranjan Lalan Singh, Sushmita Dev, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Sandosh Kumar, AA Rahim, Prof Manoj Kumar Jha, Javed Ali Khan, Mahua Maji, PP Mohammed Faizal, Aneel Prasad Hegde, ET Mohammed Basheer, NK Premachandran, Sushil Gupta, Arvind Sawant, D Ravikumar, Thiru Thol Thirumavalavan, Jayant Singh, and Phulo Devi Netam.
