Noida Shocker: woman jumps to death with son from 13 floor writes ‘we don’t want to …

A 37-year-old woman, Sakshi Chawla, and her 11-year-old mentally ill son, Daksh, died by suicide after jumping from the 13th floor of their apartment in Greater Noida's Ace City Society.

A 37-year-old woman reportedly died by suicide by jumping off the 13th floor of her balcony with her child. Both the woman and her 11-year-old son died instantly. The woman included a note explaining that she made the decision to end her life due to stress. Her child was taking medication for a neuro developmental disorder, according to India today.

Police told the outlet that the woman’s husband, a chartered accountant, was in another room when she jumped from the balcony. He was alerted by the woman’s scream and rushed to the balcony and found her and their son on the ground. The incident occurred around 10 AM, and police arrived on scene after receiving information.

Police told the outlet that the note from the woman was directed towards her husband. No one was blamed for her and the child’s step, which was, said she didn’t want to create or cause any disturbances or problems for him anymore.

“Information received so far indicates the mother was extremely anxious about the boy,” Shavya Goyal, additional DCP of central Noida, was quoted as saying by India Today.

“According to the sequence pieced together so far, the father had asked his wife to give medicine to their son around 9 AM,” the official added.
