The Union government on Thursday held an all-party meeting and briefed various political parties about the Operation Sindoor. The operation, carried out by Indian Armed forces on Wednesday had successfully targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and PoK. The all-party meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and attended by Rajya Sabha LoP and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and others.
Kiren Rijiju On All-Party Meeting
Following the conclusion of the all-party meeting, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju briefed the reporters. He said that Union Defence Minister chaired the meeting and members of each party were briefed about the operation conducted by the Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday morning. He informed that everyone has offered their support to the government and the armed forces
“The meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who briefed everyone about the Operation Sindoor and all the leaders gave their suggestions. All the leaders have shown maturity at a time when we are all working together. Everyone has hailed and congratulated the armed forces for Operation Sindoor, and said that we will support the government and armed forces.”
Rijiju stressed on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement during the all-party meeting, which reiterated government’s intention against any mischief by Pakistan. “We have received a few suggestions as well… The Defence Minister said we don’t form the government just to rule”, Kiren Rijiju said.

He further highlighted that all political parties spoke in one voice, and termed it as one of their successes. Rijiju restrained from sharing details on the continuation of things after Operation Sindoor. “Political parties are the voice of the people and the leaders speaking in one voice. I think it is also one of our successes… It is not good to tell about the continuation of things that are going on after the first strike of Operation Sindoor, and hence, officials were not called in the meeting,” added the Union Minister.

Furthermore, Rijiju appealed to everyone to not trust on any fake news coming out of the country or from within the country. He stressed that many fake news are currently propagated and one needs to refrain from trusting them and spreading it further.
“Many fake news is being propagated to spread fake news, and hence, I appeal to all in this time not to trust any fake news coming out of the country or from within the country and to trust only authentic information,” stated Rijiju.
