Amid ongoing India-Pakistan tensions and ceasefire violation by the latter on Saturday, a local from Samba in Jammu and Kashmir stated that Pakistan cannot be trusted. The local, Jitendra Singh while expressing deep mistrust toward Pakistan, highlighted that the neighbouring country has done this earlier also – agreeing on one thing and later breaking it. He added that nobody knows when could Pakistan violate the ceasefire, therefore it’s hard to place trust on them.
“Trust is a big thing, but we cannot trust Pakistan as we don’t know when they would violate the ceasefire. They have done this earlier as well,” Jitendra said while speaking to ANI.

Ceasefire Violation By Pakistan
Notably, Pakistan had violated ceasefire on Saturday, despite an “understanding” that was reached earlier in the day. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had announced that an understanding was reached this evening between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan to stop the military action that was going on for the last few days. However, within few hours, the understanding was violated by Pakistan and the Indian Army had retaliated the border intrusion swiftly.
“For the last few hours, this understanding is being violated by Pakistan. The Indian Army is retaliating and dealing with this border intrusion. This intrusion is extremely condemnable and Pakistan is responsible for it. We believe that Pakistan should understand this situation properly and take appropriate action immediately to stop this intrusion,” Misri stated in a briefing after the ceasefire violation.
Situation Normal On Sunday Morning
Meanwhile, according to several on ground reports, the situation appears normal in major districts of Jammu and Kashmir. After days of heavy shelling by Pakistan, no drones, firing or shelling was reported overnight in Kupwara, Samba, Poonch and Rajouri. However, Amritsar remains on alert with tight security in place.
ACP Airport, Amritsar, Yadwinder Singh said, “Situation is peaceful…Some rumours are being spread. But there is adequate security…It is peaceful now, there is no drone activity. People should not panic. I appeal to the media to verify the reports coming to them and then display. It is essential to verify the false rumours being spread by people.”
