A family was allegedly assaulted by a group of people after they objected to the “modified silencer” loud sound that was being created by a biker in Ghaziabad’s Loni area, according to the media reports. A 1.18-minute video widely circulated on social media platforms on Friday in which it was seen that a group of 10 to 12 men carrying sticks allegedly barged into a house and assaulted a family.
The video was recorded by a man standing close to the spot. Three to four men were seen carrying wooden sticks and assaulted another group while hurling abuses.
The video was uploaded by an X account with the caption, “A miscreant was roaming around the colony on a Bullet motorcycle, which made a sound like a firecracker. When a family protested against this, the miscreants entered the house with sticks, dragged him out, and beat him severely.”

However, police said that the fight broke out due to an outstanding amount, and suspects were arrested. The police in their statement said that the incident had occurred on February 25, in Street No. 14 of Lakshmi Nagar, Loni Border. Police said that it was not a case of a firecracker sound from a bike, but rather a case of a family dispute.
As per the report, a man named Irshad complained that a fight broke out in the street, during which his cousin Saad and some others allegedly entered his house and assaulted him over a long-standing financial dispute. Both sides have sustained injuries, and a case has been registered under the relevant sections of BNS.
