News24 Manthan 2025: AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday graced the News24 event, Manthan 2025. During an exclusive conversation with Anchor Manak Gupta, he opened up on several topics, including politics, the situation in the country, the Places of Worship Act, and more.
Two Shores Of The Sea Can Never Be One, Says Owaisi
Owaisi expressed his stance on allegations of being referred to as the B team of both NDA and INDIA. When asked where he stands in the politics of NDA and INDIA, Owaisi declared that he is against both alliances. He emphasised that his approach is different from theirs. He is not the one who will come together in Parliament and then fall apart. He doesn’t have a double face, Owaisi added.
Furthermore, Owaisi cleared his stance in one sentence: “The two shores of the sea can never be one.”
When questioned about who is stopping him from working the way he wants, he said there are people in the country who don’t follow the Constitution, take the law into their own hands, and want to work as autocrats. This is unfortunate, but it is the reality in the country, Owaisi added.
Is ‘Loktantra’ In Danger?
When asked about the country’s situation and the allegation that ‘Loktantra’ is in danger, Owaisi said, “See where the people in power are taking the country.” He cited example of situation in Sambhal, farmers’ protest in Punjab and hate speeches given by leaders in Maharashtra.
On asked whether he is happy with the Supreme Court’s decision to stay the proceedings of the lower court concerning the Places of Worship Act, Owaisi hailed the order and called it a ‘good decision.’
He praised Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader Revanth Reddy when questioned about his relationship with him. He called it a good term for the development of the state. He added that Telangana will move forward under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.
Owaisi Warns BJP
When asked about his views on BJP spreading its foot in entire country and historic third term of PM Modi. Owaisi said, “They came down to 240 from 400, this means there is fall in numbers.”
Owaisi further said, “The people of this country elevate big leaders to great heights, and when they bring them down, they make them taste the dust.” He further added, this too will happen.
