New Delhi: Farmers on Monday pushed police barricades and walked over it to join the ongoing wrestlers protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital after the Delhi cops allegedly tried to stop them to enter.
In a video shared by the news agency ANI, farmers can be seen breaking through the barricades in a huge number raising anti-government slogans.

Protest Continued, Gains Support From Khap Panchayat
The top wrestlers have continued their protest against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh accusing the latter of sexually assaulting female athletes including minor ones.
In the latest, the wrestling protestors have recieved support from the Khap Mahapanchayat who on Sunday issued an ultimatum to the Centre for taking action against Brij Bhushan till May 20 or else they will take a big decision on May 21.

Wrestlers Should Let Cops Investigate: Anurag Thakur
Meanwhile, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that players should let the Delhi Police carry out the probe while wrestlers’ demands are being fulfilled.
“A demand was there to form a committee and it was constituted, FIR has been registered by Delhi police, SC also gave its verdict. Delhi Police is conducting a fair investigation. I request the players that their demands are being fulfilled and they should allow the investigation to be completed,” said Anurag Thakur.
Supreme Court Closes 3 Pleas
The matter is being heard in the Supreme Court. Earlier on May 4, the apex court closed three PILs of the female petitioners saying that their motives were fulfilled, as reported earlier.
Meanwhile, the bench granted liberty to the wrestlers to approach the jurisdictional magistrate or invoke the remedy under Section 482 CrPC before the Delhi High Court in case of any further grievances.
