Congress has lost the democratic battle in the three states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, popularly known as the Hindi belt but what it has won with massive votes is the state of Telangana which used to be the citadel of K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
However, due to a lack of consensus among the party members, the name of the chief minister wasn’t announced. Tuesday evening, KC Venugopal, General Secretary of Congress, said in a press conference, “Congress President has decided to go with Revanth Reddy as the new CLP of Telangana Legislative Party.”

It has also been confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will be held on December 7.
After this announcement, Revanth Reddy arrived at the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad where he was warmly welcomed by a swarm of crowd.

Defeating KCR in his own home has been a big blow to the BRS which was planning to expand to neighbouring states. Reddy’s strategy hasn’t only given Congress a moment of victory in the last assembly elections ahead of the general elections in 2024 but has also put a full stop to Chandrashekhar Rao’s further plans.
