Addressing the media, Medical Superintendent Dr Shilekh Mittal said, “Yesterday evening a patient came, the patient was serious…she was diagnosed with Metabolic encephalopathy & multiple diseases. The patient died. Her relatives were angry and had a dispute with the doctors. The security guards intervened and stopped the quarrel.”

As of now, further details regarding the incident and the circumstances that led to the altercation are yet to be released.

This incident highlights the growing concerns over patient care and doctor-patient interactions in hospitals. Such altercations can have serious consequences, both for the patients and their families, as well as for the hospital staff involved.

Tragically, incidents like these are not isolated. In a separate event last month in Gwalior, a 75-year-old man passed away in the ICU of a hospital under similar circumstances. The patient’s death was attributed to an event in which the oxygen tubing was ripped off during a heated argument between the patient’s relatives and the medical staff.
