According to Neeraj Kumar, SDO of Mahnar, Vaishali, efforts are being made to run the school in two shifts to accommodate the students. However, tensions escalated when the police arrived at the protest site, and the officers are accused of slapping the students. In response, the students began throwing stones at the Education officer’s SUV.
The police claim that they tried to mediate the dispute, but the students became aggressive, leading to the escalation of the situation.
This incident highlights the challenges faced by many government schools in India, including overcrowding and inadequate facilities. Students are often left with no choice but to protest in an attempt to draw attention to their plight.
