In elections, candidates employ various campaign strategies to attract voters, sometimes resorting to unconventional methods to gain public attention. An example of this occurred in Gopalganj, Bihar, where a candidate campaigned while riding a donkey.
Satyendra Baitha, an Independent candidate contesting from the Gopalganj Lok Sabha seat, campaigns door-to-door riding a donkey. He hails from Shyampur village in Gopalganj.

He even filed his Lok Sabha nomination papers riding a donkey, drawing significant attention.
When asked about his unusual campaign style, Baitha explained that due to the high prices of petrol and diesel, which are unaffordable for many people like him, he chose to campaign by riding a donkey. He also rode a donkey to reach the collectorate for filing his nomination papers.
Many people come out of their houses to catch a glimpse when Baitha arrives riding a donkey.

When asked about his priorities if he wins the election, Baitha mentioned his plans to open a sugar mill in the district and establish a university. He also highlighted sanitation as a priority. Baitha criticized previous elected officials for their absence from the district, stating that many candidates have won elections in the past but were hardly seen in the district for five years, choosing to stay in Delhi or Patna. He emphasized that as a local resident, he would be available round the clock for the public.
Polling in Gopalganj is scheduled for May 25 in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The NDA has nominated Alok Kumar Suman, while the INDIA bloc has put forward Chanchal Kumar Paswan for the Gopalganj (SC reserved) seat.
