An argument broke out between a motorcyclist and an auto-rickshaw passenger in Bengaluru over a cigarette. According to Sheikh Moin, the auto passenger accidentally touched his leg with the cigarette while their vehicles were passing each other in JP Nagar 5th phase. When the motorcyclist stopped the auto to address the situation, a verbal altercation ensued between them.

The auto passenger, on the other hand, defended his right to smoke inside the auto he had hired and accused the biker of trying to attract attention by filming the altercation. In return, the motorcyclist sarcastically quipped, “You must be a celebrity then, for me to bother filming you.”

In the video, the motorcyclist also accused the auto driver of reckless driving, claiming that the auto almost crashed into his two-wheeler. Furthermore, he rebuked the driver for permitting the passenger to smoke inside the vehicle.

The videos also elicited a response from the Bengaluru City Police. They requested Mr. Moin’s contact number and later stated that they had informed the relevant police officers about the matter.

The video has sparked division on the internet, with individuals expressing a range of opinions. Some believe that individuals smoking in public places should be reprimanded, while others feel that the motorcyclist was exaggerating a seemingly minor issue.

One user opined that the biker should mind his own business and let the passenger face consequences for smoking. Another suggested that the entire incident might be a publicity stunt, implying that the biker deliberately sought out a confrontation to showcase their helmet camera and police contacts.

Another user remarked that a simple exchange of apologies and gratitude could have swiftly resolved the situation. They viewed the altercation as primarily an ego clash, without any deeper significance.
