Aadhaar card is one of the most significant documents used in India, with nearly 90% of the country’s population possessing it. It is required for a wide range of services including government and without it, many tasks may be disturbed.
Generally, people often need to update their Aadhaar details at some point, which can be done via the official website, mobile app, or by visiting an Aadhaar center.
However, a new feature has been introduced by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to make the process more user-friendly. The new AI-powered chatbot, Aadhaar Mitra, has been launched to simplify tasks for Aadhaar cardholders. This AI service aims to streamline various Aadhaar-related functions, eliminating the need for users to visit multiple platforms or centers for assistance.
With Aadhaar Mitra, users can track the status of their PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or physical Aadhaar card. The chatbot also helps users find the nearest Enrollment Center. Additionally, individuals can download their e-Aadhaar card directly through the service. In case of a lost Aadhaar card, users can file a complaint via Aadhaar Mitra as well.
However, it’s important to note that Aadhaar Mitra cannot be used to update personal information on the Aadhaar card. Still, users can check the status of any updates or modifications made to their Aadhaar details using the chatbot.
This AI service aims to make Aadhaar-related tasks more accessible and efficient, reducing the time and effort required by users to manage their Aadhaar-related concerns.
