Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Virat Kohli-owned One8 Commune pub and several other establishments on MG Road for operating beyond the permitted hours.
According to the DCP Central, the pubs were discovered to be open until 1:30 am, despite the permitted closing time being 1 am.
The police took action following complaints about loud music being played late at night in the area. One8 Commune pub, near the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium, is among the establishments booked for violating these rules.
‘We received complaints of loud music being played at night. The investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken accordingly,’ the police officer said.

Virat Kohli’s One8 Commune has branches in other metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru branch, located on the sixth floor of Ratnam’s Complex, was launched in December last year.
Last year, a controversy arose when a man from Tamil Nadu posted a video on X, stating he was denied entry to the Mumbai branch of One8 Commune for wearing a ‘veshti’. He expressed feeling ‘disappointed’ and ‘hurt’ by the incident.
The Virat Kohli-owned restaurant chain also made headlines last year when the Delhi High Court prohibited One8 Commune from playing songs copyrighted by Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL).
