Viral Video: A video is going viral on internet in which a few policemen who went for investigation a harrassment case with a woman can be seen being beaten up by the locals. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district.
The incident unfolded when an emergency call (dial 112) was received, prompting the dispatch of police personnel in PRV 1146 to investigate the matter. Upon reaching the Kadarganj village, where the police had recieved the input from, the officers met villagers Hemchandra Jatav and his associate Abhadrata.

After which, the in-charge of Sikandarpur police station conducted an initial inspection of the situation.
However, the viral video of the incident paints a chaotic scene, which showed that a crowd gathered the officers sitting in the car. Some among the crowd strated punching the officers, while others hurled abuse at them. The crowd appeared to be furious at the cops and purturbed by them.

As the story was followed, the villagers accused that the police was were involved in unlawful activities. The agitated group, described as “fearless khaki-clad bullies,” resorted to violence, damaging both a house and the police vehicle. This was in connection to accusations that the PRV (Police Response Vehicle) personnel were engaged in illegal extortion activities.
Some people were being taken into custody, and it was a tense moment. During this tumultuous time, police officers are shown pleading, urging the crowd to release those they had apprehended.
In the aftermath of the incident, the police promptly registered a case against three individuals, including one associated with a gang. The incident, along with the viral video, has generated considerable outrage and concern, as the community grapples with the consequences of this unfortunate event.
