A shocking audio clip, which is circulating on social media, in which a woman named Anuradha Verma, purported to be an employee of a private bank, can be heard speaking to a customer, possibly an Indian Army soldier, in extremely abusive and harsh language during a loan-related conversation. The conversation, which includes threatening language and abusive language, has sparked widespread outrage. However, the bank has clarified that the woman is not our employee.
The HDFC Bank has issued a clarification on the viral audio of a woman and a CRPF Jawan. The bank wrote, “This is with reference to an audio clip circulating on social and online media, where a lady is heard speaking disrespectfully to a CRPF personnel. Multiple posts have incorrectly identified her as an employee of HDFC Bank. We would like to clarify that this individual is not an employee of HDFC Bank. The conduct heard in the clip is neither acceptable nor does it reflect our values as an organisation.”

A statement made by Varma in a recently viral clip has become the center of discussion and is giving rise to many controversies. In the clip, Varma says, “If you were educated, you would be working in a good company, but you’ve been sent to the border. That’s why your children are born disabled and people like you end up becoming martyrs. I also belong to a defense family, so what will you teach me? If you really belonged to a big family, you wouldn’t be taking loans of Rs 15-16 lakhs. Don’t give lectures. You’re living on loans and trying to give me advice? You struggle to return even 5000 and act like it’s a big deal. Don’t show off in front of me. Do whatever you want, am I your servant? You gave me a challenge, right? Now show me if you can do it.” This statement is drawing sharp reactions on social media and raising questions about Varma’s thinking and social responsibility.
