Congress MP Rahul Gandhi met with well-known wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia before heading to Kashmir. The CEC, led by Deepak Babaria, has chosen 34 candidates for the Haryana polls. Babaria mentioned that the final list of candidates will be announced by August 4. Phogat and other wrestlers had previously protested against Singh.

Recently, Vinesh Phogat showed her support for farmers by joining their protest at the Shambhu border. She was warmly welcomed and given garlands by the farmers, which only fueled speculation about her political plans.

Hooda said, ‘An athlete belongs to the whole nation, not just one party or state. It’s up to her if she wants to join any party.
