It has become an utter example of carelessness in Rajasthan’s Alwar where a ward boy administered cannula and injections to a patient in Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. Videos of the incident went viral on social media. After videos appeared on social platforms, the hospital administration has taken a stern action in the matter.
PMO takes notice of viral videos
In the viral video clip, the ward boy is seen administering injections and cannula to patients. He is also seen entering all formalities in a register. Principal Medical Officer (PMO) Dr Sunil Chauhan rushed to the hospital and removed the ward boy from service. Despite his action, several questions are being raised about the health services provided to citizens in government hospitals.
According to News 24, the ward boy was posted in the trauma department of the hospital. He makes reels during the treatment of patients. He uploaded the reels on his social media accounts in an attempt to make them viral.
The matter has raised grave concerns about the government hospitals where a non-medical employee had been providing services to patients which pose a risk to their lives.
PMO has restricted the contractor
The PMO said the contractor has been restricted and he has directed the officials that such practices should be repeated in the future.
