Jammu-Kashmir: Residential houses of two local Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, believed to be involved in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, have been destroyed in the Tral and Bijbhera areas of South Kashmir, three days after the attack in which at least 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.

Official sources told News24 that the houses of Aasif Sheikh in Tral, Pulwama district, and Adil Thoker (Gauri) in Bijbhera, Anantnag, were razed to the ground by way of blasting after their alleged roles in the Baisaran Pahalgam terrorist attack surfaced.

Meanwhile, army officials stated that during a search of Asif Sheikh’s house in Moghama, a suspicious box was found with wires protruding from it. After confirmation by the Indian Army’s RR Engineers team, it was destroyed in situ, resulting in an explosion. The explosion partially damaged the house. No loss of life was reported, as the area was cleared and neighboring houses were evacuated.
At least 26 people, including a local from Pahalgam and 25 tourists—one of whom was from Nepal and the rest from various states of India—were killed in the terrorist attack in Baisaran Pahalgam on Tuesday.
