On Saturday, masked robbers broke into the Indore, Madhya Pradesh home of former Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Garg. They stole gold and cash worth several lakhs of rupees while wearing masks and gloves. Operating with precision, the robbers spent nearly 20 minutes inside the house despite the security alarm ringing, an incident that was fully captured on CCTV footage.
The incident happened on Raksha Bandhan, the same day several similar robberies took place in nearby areas. Police found CCTV footage from different places, which showed masked and gloved criminals working in a planned way.

CCTV footage captures three masked robbers in a brazen act. One slips into the judge’s bedroom, gripping an iron rod, ready to attack if the judge awakens. Another rummages through the room, swiftly collecting valuables, while the third keeps watch outside, securing their getaway.
Justice Garg, a former Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, and his family were reportedly in deep sleep during the burglary. They remained unaware of the incident until after the burglars had fled. Senior police officer Umakant Choudhary confirmed that separate teams have been formed to investigate the incidents. “Considering the seriousness of the case, special investigation teams have been formed.” “Initial investigations suggest that this group has been involved in similar crimes in the past,” he said.
Officials also said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused and hope to crack the case soon. Police are currently identifying and questioning suspects. “We are investigating all angles and are hopeful of arresting the culprits and solving the case soon,” Choudhary added.
