Vice President Oath Ceremony Highlights- CP Radhakrishnan on Friday took oath as the 15th Vice President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Radhakrishnan took the oath of office in the presence of dignitaries and leaders from across the nation. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Radhakrishnan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav were present at the event.
NDA nominee, Radhakrishnan was elected as the Vice President of India on Tuesday. He had secured 452 votes against INDIA Bloc candidate and former Supreme Court judge B. Sudershan Reddy, who received 300 votes. Following the announcement of results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Radhakrishnan and expressed confidence that the newly elected VP would strengthen India’s constitutional values and contribute positively to parliamentary discourse.

I am confident that he will be an outstanding VP, who will strengthen our Constitutional values and enhance Parliamentary discourse,” PM Modi wrote on X.
