Two BJP MLAs got involved in a verbal spat during the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
As per reports, Mathura MLA Rajesh Chaudhary engaged in a verbal duel with Varanasi MLA Saurabh Srivastava during a discussion on ‘Vision 2047’ on August 13. The clash took place when Chaudhary did not get an opportunity to speak during his allotted time between 9 pm and midnight.
Chaudhary raised an objection when he and a few other lawmakers were not allowed to address in the assembly in their stipulated time. This upset Chaudhary, who then got involved into a verbal spat with Saurabh Srivastava, the acting chief whip in absence of Ram Naresh Agnihotri.
Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav slammed the ruling party, BJP, over the incident while sharing the video on his X account. He posted, ” “Misconduct and abusive language are the ladder to success in the BJP. Deplorable!”
बदसलूकी और बदज़ुबानी ही भाजपा में तरक़्की की सीढ़ी है।

The SP chief also targeted Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, saying, “He has fooled the entire BJP. He was neither a member of the BJP nor did he like the ideology of the BJP. He took membership of BJP just to sit on the chair(of CM).”
