Vande Bharat Express: A new instance of stone pelting on the Vande Bharat Express has been reported in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. According to an official notification, stones were thrown at the Vande Bharat Express train departing from Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Stone pelting has been reported on the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express for the third time in three months.

The Railways said that the Vande Bharat Express slated to leave Visakhapatnam on Wednesday was rescheduled at 09:45 instead of the original departure time of 05:45 due to miscreants throwing stones from the window of C-8 coach. The glass was shattered.

Stone pelting occurred in January as well

Stones were thrown at the Vande Bharat train in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, earlier in January. The windscreen of a Vande Bharat Express coach was shattered near Kanchrapalem in Visakhapatnam.

According to Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Anoop Kumar Sethupathi, “when the Vande Bharat train arrived in Visakhapatnam for maintenance and train running, some unknown people pelted stones at Visakhapatnam station.” He further stated that they are seeking for the suspects using CCTV footage.
