On the tragic incident, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It has been reported that some workers are missing. I am in constant contact with the concerned authorities regarding this matter…”

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent to the construction site. The cloudburst triggered a flash flood due to intense downpour in the region. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has sounded an alert against torrential rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the state on Sunday and Monday.

Meanwhile, continuous rainfall in the hill state has caused major disruptions, including the blockage of the National Highway near Nandprayag and Bhaneropani. Authorities in Rudraprayag also restricted movement on the Sonprayag–Munkatiya road due to landslides and falling debris earlier this week.

According to reports, intense rainfall led to major disruptions and blockage of routes in the hill state. Additionally, movement was halted on the Sonprayag–Munkatiya road following landslides at the beginning of this week.
