The victim, who lives in Meerut, stated in her complaint that she met a man on Instagram who claimed to be employed at a bank. He offered to assist her in securing a job at the bank.

The accused reportedly sent his friend to ask the woman to come to Dehradun with him under the pretext of a job offer. However, he did not meet her there. Later, the accomplice directed her to Thanabhavan in Uttar Pradesh, where she encountered the accused.

The woman claimed that they gave her a cold drink spiked with sedatives and then took her to a hotel where they sexually assaulted her.

Police have filed a case based on the woman’s complaint and initiated an investigation.
