Uttar Pradesh: At least two individuals were killed and seven others were injured after a blast took place in a coaching centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad on Sunday. According to the Police, the explosion in the basement of the coaching centre likely occurred due to the buildup of excessive concentrated methane in the septic tank.
Following the accident, ambulance and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot to carry out a relief operation. The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for prompt medical treatment. According to reports, parts of the building and human remains were thrown 100 meters away.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident that took place in Farrukhabad. He directed officials to reach the spot as quickly as possible and expedite relief operations. The Chief Minister also offered condolences and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the unfortunate accident.
SP Aarti Singh told the media, “Information was received around 3:19 PM. This is a coaching center that has a septic tank in the basement. Due to excessive concentrated methane in the tank, a blast occurred. A switchboard was also found there. Possibly, it might have caused the blast. 7 people were injured in the incident, out of whom 2 have died. Investigation of the incident is underway. CCTV footage is being reviewed…”
On the Farrukhabad explosion, BJP leader Sanjay Chaudhary told PTI that this is a serious incident, and those guilty will be punished strictly after investigations.
