The traffic system of Bareilly to see improvement and compete with other cities. The NHAI has expedited the development work of the proposed 29.9-km ring road. The road will be connecting Jhumka to Invertis. The National Highway Authority of India headquarters has planned a meeting with the officers on December 18,2024.
Officials stated that the tender process for the road will be started after the meeting. The National Highway Authority of India had made an plan to invest Rupees 73 crore per kilometer. The interchange will be made near the Jhumka, Chaubari and Invertis University, as per media reports.
The route will boost the connectivity. It will make the travel more comfortable for the commuters. This is going to make the traffic system stronger.
According to media reports the government has approved the development of the ring road. This will start from Jhumka Tiraha located on Rampur Road to the Invertis University on Shahjahanpur road. The cost of the project is Rs 2,192.34 crore. Under this amount, Rs 995.75 crore will be invested on the making of road. For land acquisition Rs 863.86 crore will be invested.
For this project, 187 hectares of land is taken from more than 900 farmers. As per reports, Rs 200 crore has been given as part of compensation to the farmers of 21 villages. The officials stats that, the process of acquisition has been started in 9 other villages as well, as per reports.
Seven small bridges, four big bridges will be constructed under this project. There will be development of 17-km long ring road on both sides of the ring road.
