Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: In an unfortunate incident, at least 10 died after a car carrying devotees from Chhattisgarh to Maha Kumbh crashed with a bus. The incident occurred on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway under PS Meja on Friday around midnight. DCP Yamunanagar Vivek Chandra Yadav informed that the bodies have been transferred to Swaroop Rani Medical Hospital for a post-mortem examination. More details are awaited.

In yet another incident on Wednesday, 4 Maha Kumbh pilgrims were killed while 13 sustained injuries after a major accident took place on the Kanpur-Prayagraj Highway. They were en route to the Kumbh Mela to take Snan at the Triveni Sangam on the occasion of the Magh Purnima. According to reports, a bus with 21 pilgrims on board was traveling from Delhi's Uttam Nagar to Prayagraj when it collided with a dumper near Dudhi Kagar turn on the Highway.
