Uttar Pradesh First Glass Bridge

The first glass skywalk bridge in Uttar Pradesh is now complete at Tulsi (Shabari) waterfall in Chitrakoot. Shaped like Lord Ram’s bow and arrow, this bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.70 crore in the Kodand forest area where the falls are situated.

Scheduled to open for tourists post the Lok Sabha elections, it is poised to become a premier eco-tourism destination. Additionally, plans are underway to develop a park, herbal garden, and restaurants in the vicinity.

The Forest and Tourism Department spearheaded the construction of the Glass Skywalk Bridge, undertaken by the Pawan Sut Construction Company of Ghazipur. Formerly known as Shabri Waterfall, the site was renamed Tulsi Water Falls by the state government last year, owing to its significance as the birthplace of Goswami Tulsidas in Rajapur, along with the presence of Lord Shri Ram’s shrine.

Designed in the shape of a bow and arrow, Ranger Nadeem Mohammed explained that the arrow’s length towards the abyss is 25 meters, while the width of the bow between the two pillars spans 35 meters. The bridge is engineered to withstand a load capacity of 500 kg per square meter.
