The accused has been identified as Karishma Bhaghel. The police said that Karishma claimed that her three-month-old son was missing. Later, Karsihma’s husband Dilip lodged a complaint with the police, According to a PTI report.

Police recovered infant from underground water tank
A senior police officer of Meghaninagar police station said the infant's body was recovered from an underground water tank at Karishma’s home, located in Ambikanagar locality on April 7.
After the investigation, police found that Karishma was the accused who threw her kid in the underground water tank. The police said Karishma was emotionally and physically upset ever since she got pregnant and continuously complained to her family members about her health issues. She was also disturbed by her son’s crying.
Woman gave conflicting statements
Karishma gave suspicious versions to the police when the cops interrogated her. She told the police that she kept her baby in a room and went to the washroom and did not find him upon returning.
After recovering the infant’s body, the cops launched a probe and concluded that the infant couldn't have reached there.
