This was started to connect Noida, Greater Noida directly to Dehradun.

The Upper Ganga Canal Expressway project, which was initiated 11 years ago, aims to establish direct highway connectivity. This was started to connect Noida, Greater Noida directly to Dehradun. However, the project came to an immediate halt after its commencement. The development of the eight-lane expressway will resume after 11 years, linking Greater Noida with Sanauta and Ghaziabad, then continuing through Meerut and Muzaffarnagar before eventually reaching Purkazi in Dehradun. Land for the planned development is allocated at six different locations along the route to enhance logistics capabilities. As a result, the expressway will improve navigation, boost tourism, and create opportunities for water sports along the canal. Additionally, seven hydroelectric generation facilities will undergo expansion and improvements along the transportation route.

The project also includes the development of a 23.5 km Link Expressway connecting South-West Meerut to the Meerut Airport and the DFC terminal infrastructure. Furthermore, a new 3.5 km expressway will be constructed adjacent to NH-24 near Dasna Falls.
